]Soy: One of the Worst “Foods” Commonly Consumed
One of the biggest mistakes a lot of vegetarians make is to consume soy. When I first became a vegetarian in 1980, I went to a vegetarian cooking class at Lansing Community College. The woman who taught was a fanatic about vegetarianism and was completely adamant about the necessity that vegetarians get their protein from soy. She referred to it as a “near perfect food”. I bought into that for a long time, but luckily did not consume a lot of soy in the following years. What soy I did consume was a form of fermented soy called tempe.
Much has been promised to us from soybeans in the way of health. Proponents claim that soy is a near perfect food with a large array of amino acids and other nutrients. Soybeans are approximately 35% protein, only 58% that of Spirulina and Chlorella. Spirulina and Chlorella are five times easier to digest than meat, fish, eggs, dairy and soy protein. Soy is rarely consumed raw unless it is sprouted. Nearly all soybeans are eaten after they are processed into tofu, textured protein or fermented into foods such as tempeh. Once you have cooked or processed any food, you have altered its natural chemical structure. Heat is a chemical reagent that radically alters anything it comes in contact with.

The pork and swine industry has been continually plagued, and continues to be so to this day, by a wide variety of hazardous and deadly infections and diseases, including:
•PRRS -- A horrendous disease, which I first reported on in 2001, but which had been a nightmare for many nations since the mid-1980s, is still alive and kicking today. At one point referred to as "swine mystery disease," "blue abortion," and "swine infertility," the disease was finally named "Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome" (PRRS), and may afflict about 75 percent of American pig herds.
The PRRS virus primarily attacks the pig's immune system, leaving its body open to a host of infections, particularly in the lungs. Initial research revealed that the virus was transmitted via semen, saliva and blood, leaving pigs herded closely together and transported in close quarters by trucks more susceptible to infection.
However, according to research presented at the 2007 International PRRS Symposium, the disease is also airborne, making eradication efforts very difficult.
•The Nipah Virus – Discovered in 1999, the Nipah virus has caused disease in both animals and humans, through contact with infected animals. In humans, the virus can lead to deadly encephalitis (an acute inflammation of your brain). •Porcine Endogenous Retrovirus (PERV) – According to a study in the journal Lancet, this virus can spread to people receiving pig organ transplants, and according to test tube studies, PERV strains do have the ability to infect human [sign in to see URL]
PERV genes are scattered throughout pigs' genetic material, and researchers have found that pig heart, spleen and kidney cells release various strains of the virus.
•Menangle Virus – In 1998, it was reported that a new virus infecting pigs was able to jump to humans. The menangle virus was discovered in August 1997 when sows at an Australian piggery began giving birth to deformed and mummified piglets.

aldulterated Omega 3's & 6's


]In this podcast with Ted Slanker he says that the ratio of omega 3's and 6's should be 1:1.
He says it's very important to stay near this ratio and that it's been proved scientifically [i.e. research, not consensus] that a ratio of over 1:4 (of omega 3's to 6's) causes big problems.
For this reason he especially suggests great caution in eating nuts, particularly walnuts (which already contain 4:1 6's over 3's).
He says he himself takes flaxseed oil daily because of it's high amounts of omega 3's. ]Here's a list of foods high in omega 3's.

In ]this podcast with Brian Peskin the professor makes clear that it's important to get PARENT Omega 3's and 6's [i.e. both]. That means that the BAD Omega 6's that are everywhere will not help you. The higher the percentage of good [i.e. parent] Omega fats [3 & 6], the better. That means that eating nuts (in the morning) is a good habit...
The parent Omega 3's and 6's sustain the body, while adulterated fats [most things from a factory] are combined molecular strings of fat that cause problems.

I tried eating less nuts in the morning but i get extremely dry skin and dandruff. The day i started eating nuts again that went away. I'm tending to appreciate professor Peskin's approach to the Omega fat issue, therefore.

A caveat i'd like to place with his remarks in this podcast on not being able to find many fruits or nuts in nature, an argument also presented by paleo diet man Aajonus Vonderplanitz: mankind is a very strange large mammal:
- our eyes can't bear the Sun
- we're blind at night
- we're weak and slow compared to all other large mammal (including apes)
- our skin can't take the Sun
We just don't seem to belong on this planet! As one might find argued in ]Matthew and Kevin Taylor's book Land of No Horizon, mankind originated in Hollow Earth. At least we're a hybrid between surface-dwelling apes and Hollow Earth sentient species.
In Hollow Earth there's abundant fruit and year-round.
Whether one accepts the facts, logic, and sense concerning this matter is a key point in one's approach to diet. If there is no Hollow Earth, the logic of people like Ted Slanker appears 100% correct.

The food we eat today will provide the structural network for the cellular matrix that we need to support basic metabolism, cellular regeneration and repair. This is especially pronounced in brain neurons, as grey matter is largely composed of the omega-3 fats, DHA and EPA. Consumption of fructose is higher in children and adolescents, placing them at increased risk for heart disease and metabolic disorders such as diabetes. Fructose or simple fruit sugar is naturally found in fruits and vegetables where it is closely bound with fiber and is slowly released into the blood stream. Many processed food and drink manufacturers use liberal quantities of pure high fructose corn syrup extract that is metabolized through a different pathway as compared to glucose or table sugar.
One of the study authors, Dr. Norman Pollock noted "Fructose itself is metabolized differently than other sugars and has some byproducts that are believed to be bad for us... there's something in the syrup processing that plays a role in the bad byproducts of metabolism." The Corn Refiners Association, through a never ending barrage of advertisements, wants you to believe that there is no difference between high fructose corn syrup and regular sugar. Medical research has documented that fructose is processed primarily in the liver where it wreaks havoc, leading to fatty liver disease and even cirrhosis after excessive and repeated exposure.
