TEOMCROTE = TEOTWAWKI on steroids! The End Of Mankind's Current Reign Over The Earth takes into account that our ancestors were neither suicidal, stupid, nor our genetic inferiors but still wound up getting wiped off the Earth. Whereas CSER [cser.org: Centre for Study of Existential Risk] tries to PREVENT this dispensation from coming to an end, TEOMCROTE works from the eventuality/possibility/probability that the end our age takes place and what to do then

ANCIENT PERSIAN RECIPE

Ingredients
500 g water
5 g salt
25(0) g gum arabic (250g = original recipe)
30 g gall apples, grilled and powderized
40 g iron sulphate (a.k.a. copperas or vitriol)
30 g honey
20 g soot for stage 3 (see table below)

Directions
- Mix the six first ingredients.
- Leave them on a slow fire for two hours and stir now and then.
- Then add 20 g soot.
- Heat it for another hour.
- Filter and pour into bottles.

BASIC INK FORMULA

Ingredients
1 part gum arabic
2 parts copperas (=vitriol)
3 parts gall apples
30 parts of water

Directions
Crush the galls finely.
Add water.
Stir. Let stand for 1-2 days in the sun.
Add copperas.
Stir. Let stand for 1-2 days in the sun.
Add gum arabic.
Stir, sieve and bottle.

HECTIC INK

In case you are the hectic type, take a cheap red wine, rich in tannin, instead of water -- and pure tannin instead of galls. Good galls contain about 60 % of tannin (which is the active ingredient we are after), so use 1.8 parts of pure tannin instead of galls in the recipe above.

Ingredients
1 part gum arabic
2 parts copperas (=vitriol)
1.8 parts pure tannin
30 parts of red wine

Swift directions:
Heat the wine to about 50-60 degrees Centigrade.
Add tannin, stir.
Add copperas, stir.
Add gum arabic, stir.

An Arabic religious program mentioned that they make their ink by boiling (unwashed) wool from black sheep. It's smelly but what they use to write with in the mosque.

black dye

from Primitive Ways.com
Take the natural material that you want to dye and soak it in the acorn (tannic acid) solution overnight. The following morning, remove the item from the acorn solution, let it drip for a minute, then place the item into the iron salt solution. Soak the material overnight also. You may remove the item from the final solution the next day. If your dyed material looks too light or gray in color, then you will have to experiment with more proportions of the acorn or oak gall ingredients. Even adding more rust or steel wool to the iron salt solution will help to darken the color more. Also, keeping the natural material in the tannic acid solution and the iron salt solution longer than one day in each solution will create a darker color. When you are satisfied with the final results and the color is a deep black tone, allow the material to dry. After it has thoroughly dried, lightly wash the item with fresh water and a mild soap to remove the lemon (or vinegar) and rust smell. The odor may not bother some people. If you don't mind the smell, then just let the dyed material dry completely in the sun. The odor will dissipate over time.
