TEOMCROTE = TEOTWAWKI on steroids! The End Of Mankind's Current Reign Over The Earth takes into account that our ancestors were neither suicidal, stupid, nor our genetic inferiors but still wound up getting wiped off the Earth. Whereas CSER [cser.org: Centre for Study of Existential Risk] tries to PREVENT this dispensation from coming to an end, TEOMCROTE works from the eventuality/possibility/probability that the end our age takes place and what to do then

potable water

One simple and cheap way to make water safe is UV radiation. You got it: sunlight. If you get enough sunlight into water, it'll be safe.

According to Gabriel Cousens making good drink water is about making sure it gets MOONlight.
I haven't tested this. I always felt that water that'd been allowed to sit in the Sun for a day tasted a bit better, though.

Obviously, for the sunlight/UV trick to work, the water you're cleaning shouldn't be deep. Then you'll just be growing algae. A shallow body of water that gets enough sunlight should be potable.

MMS

If you are treating bad water, then use 3 drops of activated Sodium Chlorite per quart. That's 3 drops of Sodium Chlorite and 3 drops of citric acid. Swirl and then pour in 1 quart of the water needing to be treated. If you need more water, use the same ratios.
If you are just storing water, let's say for emergencies, then you only need 3 drops of activated per gallon.
Either way it is a great way to protect your water supply.

FEMA recommends:
"You should have at least a three-day supply of water and you should store at least one gallon of water per person per day. A normally active person needs at least one-half gallon of water daily just for drinking. Additionally, in determining adequate quantities, take the following into account:
-Individual needs vary, depending on age, physical condition, activity, diet, and climate.
-Children, nursing mothers, and ill people need more water.
-Very hot temperatures can double the amount of water needed.
-A medical emergency might require additional water."
So a family of 4 would need 4 gallons per day in reserve or 28 gallons for the week.

I understood from Jim Humble's original book on MMS that one can simply put the (i.e non-activated) sodium chlorite in water and then wait a day (while it slowly activates, turns into chlorine dioxide, and purifies the water). The person who posted the above ["Voice of MMS", Ron Neer] perhaps didn't know that, thought it took too long, or considers it dangerous because IF YOU DON'T wait 24 hours, you risk poisoning yourself with sodium chlorite. It's good to know, tho, if you don't have anything with which to activate the sodium chlorite [i.e. vinegar, lemon juice, citric acid].

In the above video is covered how to build a simple & basic water filter and where to get the water to put through it.
The filter: layer of
- bigger rocks
- smaller rocks
- sand
- charcoal
- sand
- cloth or grass
Egyptian well:
Dig a hole next to a river or lake/pond and collect the ground water that has (safely) perculated through the sand around the water source. This is the water to use for the filter.

salt to sweet water

The MayeuxMinistries channel offer a lot of good, practical, and feasible survival tricks and ideas. This one's on how to make a distiller out of any common pot and lid.
In short: put a bow in the center and invert the lid; put over a slow boil.
Put this in a solar oven and supersize it... Should supply loads of fresh water on any ocean front [even if it isn't sunny or warm, since solar ovens also work in cloudy and/or cold conditions.

Drinking urine

Don't freak out!
Drinking urine isn't as weird as it sounds. Those who do it say urine can taste sweet and perfectly fine as long as you are eating well, like fruit and other raw foods. Eating proteins and meats will give it a bad taste.
One of the important things to remember thereby is that you don't need to be eating vegan for months before your urine takes on a better/sweeter taste. Actually, it may be much much better the very next day.
The advocates of drinking urine say that it's not unlike how rabbits or guinea pigs eat their own feces; one's own digestive system can bring out nutrients that can't be assimilated directly from the GI tract without going through it again. In our case [i.e. humans], we don't do well eating our own sh!t but it can be beneficial to retrieve lost enzymes and minerals by drinking one's own urine.

In a survival situation this can be a life saver. It can even help you in extreme conditions. In the book ]Born to Run there's a story of long distance runners in the arid Copper Canyons who drank their own coffee-colored urine in order to be able to keep going.

People have stayed alive trapped in buildings that were destroyed by an earthquake. One sad story speaks of a father who made it out alive but saw his family die of thirst because they refused to drink their urine. The story is so much the sadder once you find out the truth about drinking urine.
