TEOMCROTE = TEOTWAWKI on steroids! The End Of Mankind's Current Reign Over The Earth takes into account that our ancestors were neither suicidal, stupid, nor our genetic inferiors but still wound up getting wiped off the Earth. Whereas CSER [cser.org: Centre for Study of Existential Risk] tries to PREVENT this dispensation from coming to an end, TEOMCROTE works from the eventuality/possibility/probability that the end our age takes place and what to do then

teeth and gum care

The following are toothpaste alternatives that work well to heal sensitive gums or tooth pains, usually in a matter of days. Mg/seasalt and CS can be used daily, MMS i use every other day (when i do use it).
1: make a 100% dissolved solution of 1st quality seasalt [should be grey and moist] and MgCl [magnesium flakes] (50-50% regular salt and magnesium salt). Brush with this. Take swig of solution and use instead of toothpaste.
2: it's possible to brush with MMS [the newest protocol should work much better], though it might be better to brush and then rinse with MMS/CDS.
3: one can brush with colloidal silver. The CS disinfects and also supports the production of stem cells for regrowth of tissue and tooth. Just take a swig of a CS solution and use that instead of toothpaste.
[Note: CS and MMS cancel each other out and shouldn't be used together.]
This works better than MMS, i find, because it's easier and the CS is tasteless. Also, the CS has the stemcell activity MMS lacks.

dental decay (theory)

Does Acidic Saliva Erode Teeth?
If the saliva is acid then it is dissolving the teeth?
Good question. The answer is Yes No Maybe …
Yes. Excess acidity can erode your enamel. It depends on how acidic the saliva is, what acids make it acidic, WHEN the saliva is acidic, and how long the saliva remains acidic..
No. Excess acidity can’t erode enamel if there’s an adequate supply of salivary tryptophan and immunoglobulins. Oxalic acid also protects the teeth and gums. (Think chocolate or coffee.) So does uric acid, tyrosine, and anacardic acid. Excess zinc can cause dental caries. (Excess zinc is also a major contributor to Alzheimer’s Disease.) Two different kinds of metal fillings in your mouth create a wet-cell battery that can quickly erode enamel. For example, if you have one “gold” filling in your mouth containing 75% gold and another containing only 65% gold, you’ve created an oral battery. And the composition of the other 25% or 35% of a gold alloy makes a difference too.
Maybe. What if being acidic in the morning and alkaline in the evening allowed you to ROTATE your enamel and dentin cells? And what if you could change the chemistry of your mouth by exposing it to the ultraviolet radiation in sunlight? And what about the people who grow a third set of teeth? Or a fourth? Or multiple rows of teeth?

mouthwash

"[Christine] Wu [a professor of periodontics at the University of Illinois] and her colleague Guo-Xian Wei found that rinsing the mouth with black tea for 30 seconds, repeatedly, suppresses the growth of plaque-forming bacteria. Black tea contains antibacterial chemicals called polyphenols (indeed, one variety, theaflavin, is found nowhere else)."

Atom Bergstrom's note: It's NOT the polyphenols. It's the oxalic acid in tea leaves that constipates calcium, which is why tea is a great ORAL RINSE. The fluorine in tea is also a factor.

Colloidal silver the perfect mouthwash? Scientists find rinsing mouth with silver treats infections
Professor Mariana Henriques and her colleagues from the University of Minho in Portugal evaluated the effects of a silver nanoparticle solution on oral thrush, dental stomatitis, and various other mouth infections caused by the two aforementioned strains of yeast. They came to the conclusion that, in all cases, the silver solution was effective at combating these infection-causing yeast strains, even when the size of the silver particles used varied dramatically.

alternative tooth brushes and dental hygiene

Neem has been used for centuries [or longer] to assist dental hygiene. Neem toothpaste can be bought. It's popular in India, i believe.

Meswak in Arabic countries is also called the toothbrush tree. It's mentioned in the Qur'an as a good idea to use for dental care.

Marjory Wildcraft of Backyard Food Production introduces us to cleaning your teeth with a stick. You can buy a DVD at the latter link (or her gardening DVD at the first one). The most important 20 minutes of the HOURS of DVD i uploaded here.
download for free
First item: eat horsetail (the kind without branches):
Image
You can either break off a piece and eat it or dry and powder it and have a heaping teaspoon a day. Have for 4 or 5 days and then 2 or 3 days none. Do not make into tea (although horsetail tea is good for many things, as well). According to the DVD horsetail is a HUGE deal when it comes to the body (re)building dental enamel.
Beware, though: horsetail tends to build up toxins; get it from a clean location (or better yet: grow at home). It often grows along water edges since it loves moist soil. I found loads of it along the (sea) dike; this doesn't appear particularly moist but DOES contain loads of sand, i.e. silica...

Doug Simons [of the DVD] says to pack medicinal herbs on cavities, like Chapparel

oil pulling

How To Heal Cavities – The Astonishing Claims Of The Oil Pullers
We discovered an astonishing report made by people practicing the art of oil pulling for dental health. (The link to the report follows after our introduction to the topic and further research.) A husband and wife couple experimented with oil pulling (swishing coconut oil in the mouth for 20 minutes each day) and claim assertively that their cavities have healed as a result, leaving their teeth in far better condition than they were previously. They give a good explanation of the theory behind their claims and it makes good reading.

more herbal

Comfrey has a 400 year history of wound healing. It is favorably mentioned back in Turner's Herball of 1568, Gerard's Herball of 1597, Parkinson's 1640 Theatrum Botanicum, and Tournefort's 1719 Compleat Herbal. There have been monographs on comfrey throughout the centuries, and one of the active ingredients, allantoin, is found in salves and lotions today.
You can buy comfrey capsules, but they tend to contain dried comfrey leaf. Traditional herbalism tells us that the leaves are best used fresh, beaten into a poultice, and applied externally. Leaves taken internally, as with swallowed capsules, have little benefit, and negative side effects are much more likely. Comfrey, like medicinal herbs in general, is more a medicine than a food. It needs to be used appropriately. The root is the part we want to use. The root, tradition says, is for internal use, and the root is not to be taken raw. Instead, you make a decoction of the comfrey root. A decoction is basically just a boiled tea. First you have to take a bit of root, maybe a few inches of it, and wash it under water. Cut the root up, like you would a carrot, into slices or chunks. Put the pieces into a Pyrex or stainless steel saucepan with a cup or two of water. Bring it to a boil, boil it for five to ten minutes, and then let it sit and cool. The result is a dark-brown, not particularly bad tasting tea. A cup or two every other day will probably be enough.

"I regrew four decaying teeth, which the dentist wanted to drill and fill, by eating eggshells and swishing with comfrey root.
I grinded the [egg shells] in the spice grinder until they were pulverized into a fine powder. I add a half teaspoon of eggshell powder to my smoothies ever morning. I have no plans to stop, as I am clear that the eggshells help strengthen my existing teeth.
I purchased dried comfrey root at the health food store. I added two tablespoons to a quart of water and, after bringing it to a boil, let it simmer for half an hour. I then strained the tea, and transferred it to a large container, which I kept in the refrigerator. Every night before bed, for two months, I swished a large mouthful of comfrey root tea in my mouth. Because comfrey root is taxing on the liver, I stopped after two months."

A tea, or infusion, of comfrey leaves can be made by using 1–2 teaspoons of the dried leaves to 1 cup of boiling water. Pour water over leaves, let steep 5 to 10 minutes, and then drink three or four time daily. A decoction of the root is made by using 1 teaspoon of dried root in 1 cup of water, and simmering for 5 to 6 minutes. The strained decoction can also be drunk three or four times daily.
To use comfrey externally, it may be made into a strong tea and used as a wash or it can be dried and used in an ointment or salve. If used fresh, the bruised, fresh leaf is applied directly to the skin, and the cleansed, crushed root can be applied to a minor wound if desired. In minor burns, applying fresh comfrey leaf or rool to the area can be helpful.
