(2) Low sex drive or sexual energy. (3) Strong cravings for sugar, salt, and fats. (4) Dizzy or light headed while getting up quickly from sitting or prone positions. (5) PMS or menopausal symptom increase. (6) Mood swings that were uncharacteristic earlier in life. (7) Mental fogginess with memory issues. (8) Hormonal imbalance and/or depletion. (9) Constant muscular tension leading to hypertension and high blood pressure. Inability to relax completely. (10) Autoimmune issues: constantly catching colds or allergic reactions. follow the link to read the article Special hormone released by bone cells plays an important role in blood sugar regulation Researchers were surprised to discover that blood sugar metabolism is regulated by a protein released from bone tissue. Osteocalcin is the first hormone ever found that synergistically regulates insulin secretion and insulin sensitivity. Osteocalcin was also shown to boost the pancreatic beta-cells which produce insulin as well as reducing overall fat stores. Osteocalcin activity is dependent upon adequate levels of vitamin D3 and K2 and regular exercise. The vast majority of society is deficient in both of these crucial fat-soluble vitamins. This appears to be the link between vitamin D3 deficiency and diabetes. Osteocalcin will not adequately activate unless vitamin D3 levels are sufficient and K2 is present. follow the link to read the article How Grief Can Break Your Heart Dying from a broken heart may seem more like a scene from a Shakespearean drama than reality, but extreme grief really can "break" your heart. TED talk Mainstream thought has no handle on stress whatsoever. They mention 'meditation' [whatever that's supposed to mean], 'letting go' [idem], etc. etc. It's about incompetents clutching at straws. Stress is body AND mind related. A (chronic) infection causes stress and the body doesn't distinguish between stress that originates in the mind or body. Stress is stress. Also, stress is cumulative, meaning psychological distress compounded by physical stress [or vice versa] equals a higher total. There are 2 main principle causes of stress: - a lack of Autonomy, Mastery, and Purpose - dealing with more than 3 variables at a time There are cultures that count "1, 2, 3, many", cultures around the world that have (obviously) not been in contact with each other. It's a reflection on the workings of the human mind. 4 and more gets broken down by the mind to smaller units. 4, for example, can be 3 + 1 or 2+2. It can even be 1, i.e. the group of 4 is viewed as a single unit. When more than 3 variables [or input] at a time happen, the mind stops dealing with them and is focused on breaking things down into a number it can handle. It irritates the mind to be dealing with too much. It causes stress. When the mind is doing futile work, even if it's manageable [i.e. less than 4 variables], this is more of a chronic frustration that certainly in the long run also produces stress. The more and the longer one sees that one's endeavors are pointless, the more severe the irritation becomes. These are the main and general sources of chronic stress. The death of a loved one isn't chronic; a smack to the head isn't chronic. However, all stress, irrespective of source or nature, is the same. The body has to provide the hormones to deal with it and certain resources are necessary for (enough) hormones to be produced. Stress will dramatically increase when the aforementioned are lacking. Physical or dietary deficiencies, therefore, are themselves a source of stress because they undermine the body's ability to deal with stress due to physical and psychological influences. Distress - The first mental and emotional cause of cancer How can you live a stress-free life and prevent cancer and other health problems? By learning to manage your cortisol stress hormone levels and by putting the mental/emotional stress in your life in the proper perspective. Once you know how to balance the physical factors of sleep, diet and exercise along with the mental and emotional stresses in your life then you will restore health in your body and mind. This is critical in any alternative cancer treatment. It is a fact that high stress is a major contributing factor to cancer and many other diseases. The question is how does stress cause cancer? To answer this, one must look at what the stress response does physiologically in the body. Hans Selye, the father of stress research, said there are two types of stress, distress and eustress. Distress is a longer, more damaging response which negatively affects the organs, glands and systems including the immune system. Eustress is a short term beneficial stimulus to the system. If you run up and down the stairs ten times you feel invigorated. Now if you run up and down the stairs one thousand times you are exhausted and totally drained, so eustress is health boosting whereas distress is health depleting. follow link to read the restnondisclosed_email@example.com (TheDoctorIsInTheHouse)Wed, 04 Sep 2013 21:48:56 +0000 foodshttps://b2012overleven.runboard.com/p2689,from=rss#post2689https://b2012overleven.runboard.com/p2689,from=rss#post2689Dr Robert Cassar: Stimulating Your Hormones for Women + Men Healing drink tutorial vid (22 min. YouTube) Hormones: The Natural Approach In this 74 minute talk by David Wolfe on hormones and hormonal imbalances he covers the cutting edge research. He goes into causes, conditions, getting younger, healthier, etc. One very interesting point he made [of the many]: never drink from a plastic bottle. Water from a plastic bottle [but in extension, anything in plastic bottles] he calls "estrogen water". He says a friend of his in the plastic industry explained that one SHOULD blow a plastic bottle and leave it lying for a year until the plastic has settled. Instead, they are filled up (with water, Coke, whatever] within minutes. The content then fills up with the unnatural xeno-estrogens, passing them on to whoever is foolish enough to consume it. High estrogen levels are connected to migraines, insomnia, acne, PMS, and other maladies. Estrogens counter progesterone and testosterone. High estrogens stimulates cell growth, which is good in a young female, for instance. In an older female (or a male), excessive estrogens [from chemicals: xeno-estrogens, or plants: phyto-estrogens, like soy] can cause cancer growth. Hormonal issues are largely about 'bad estrogen'. Bad estrogens have a lot to do with missing methyl groups, Wolfe explains. He suggests a 4-tiered approach to this very important issue: stop bad estrogens from getting in/being produced never drink from a plastic bottle beetroot goji berries get the bad estrogens out portobello mushrooms lime/lemon skin [juice the whole fruit and drink] iodine defatted flax cruciferous vegetables [broccoli, Brussels sprouts, coleslaw, etc.] stop the good hormones from turning into bad estrogens [natural aromatase inhibitors] all olive products, Ho Shou Wu, nettle root, chamomille passion flower stimulate the production of good hormones ginseng, goji berries, ashwaganda help the hormones work. Maca also helps with hormones. Pine pollen [men], bee pollen and royal jelly for both men and women. Onion juice triples testosterone levels. Cocoa, dille, coconut, and fennel give hormone precursors. Other foods and products he suggests should help: - MSM - cobalamin tonic article - colostrum - deer antler - DHA [in fish oil and algae] - saturated fat - yam / sweet potato N.B.: surprising the system is the key to undermining hormonal imbalances (which adjust to regular situations). [63 min.] It should be noted that progesterone and testosterone can flip over into bad estrogens and building hormones should therefore FOLLOW the above recommendations for combatting bad estrogen overload in the first place with passion flower and/or chamomile, for instance.nondisclosed_email@example.com (TheDoctorIsInTheHouse)Mon, 15 Oct 2012 20:16:04 +0000 herbs & supplementshttps://b2012overleven.runboard.com/p2441,from=rss#post2441https://b2012overleven.runboard.com/p2441,from=rss#post2441copper Curezone: A very similar process occurs with Copper, except that once oxidized the normal adrenal function of binding elemental Copper to an amino acid is broken. The adrenals work 24/7 attempting to bind to this Ionized Copper (IC) and fail until you get adrenal burnout. The best way to deal with this toxic copper is to bind it to sulfur like MSM. follow link to read the rest support herbs Parsley is an effective antioxidant, diuretic, blood tonic, and more Dr. John R. Certainly for modern stress-inundated man, it is a must-read. It'll help explain how one is stuck in negative moods or depression. Your psychological health has everything to do with the levels of minerals, toxins, and with hormonal balance mainly. On page 8 and 9 of James Wilson's book Adrenal Fatigue he writes: The adrenals have an effect on mental states. As a result, people with adrenal fatigue show a tendency towards increased fears, anxiety and depression, have intervals of confusion, increased difficulties in concentrating, and less acute memory recall. They also have less tolerance than they otherwise would and are more easily frustrated. As their condition worsens, it lays the foundation for other seemingly unrelated conditions such as frequent respiratory infections, allergies, rhinitis, asthma, frequent colds, and a number of other health problems like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, hypoglycemia, diabetes, auto-immune disorders, and alcoholism. These people may appear to friends and family to be lazy and unmotivated, or to have lost their ambition, when in reality quite the opposite is true; they are forced to drive themselves much harder than people with healthy adrenal function merely to accomplish everyday tasks. page 11: Life's stresses at their worst come in the form of such cataclysmic events as the death of a loved one, an automobile accident or a serious illness. But stress can also take its toll in less obvious ways, like an abscessed tooth, a bout of the flu, intense physical exertion, a severe quarrel with a loved one, pressure at the workplace, an unhappy relationship, environmental toxins, poor diet, etc. If these smaller stresses occur simultaneously, accumulate or become chronic, and the adrenals have no opportunity to fully recover, adrenal fatigue is usually the result. It's symptoms are clear, distinct, and sometimes uncomfortably familiar. page 15: Anyone who does not get enough rest and relaxation to enjoy life, who drives himself constantly, who is never satisfied or is a perfectionist, who is under constant pressure (especially with few outlets for emotional release), who feels trapped or helpless, who feels overwhelmed by repeated or continuous difficulties, or who has experienced severe or chronic emotional or physical trauma or illness is probably already suffering from some degree of adrenal fatigue. For your adrenals, stress is stress. Adrenal stress is compounded and accumulates as very different stress factors happen simultaneously or in quick succession. Emotional, physical, chemical, nutritional,, it all adds up. A list of factors affecting the adrenals reads: - financial pressure - toxins - death of a loved one - infections - repeated stresses - emotional stress - allergies - over exertion - smoking - lack of sleep - poor eating habits - sugar & white flour products - wounds / healing - lack of or excessive exercise - (prescription) drugs - malnutrition [demineralization] - marital stress - caffeine - fear - (undesired) unemployment - negative attitudes or beliefs - lack of relaxation - psychological stress Also see: Jonathan Wright on Adrenal Fatigue – Presented by Dr. Kristi Tompkins.nondisclosed_email@example.com (TheLivingShadow)Tue, 19 Jul 2011 11:42:17 +0000 adrenal fatigue / hormoneshttps://b2012overleven.runboard.com/p672,from=rss#post672https://b2012overleven.runboard.com/p672,from=rss#post672The following foods and food combinations are hormone balancers. They particularly support buoyant sex hormones and facilitate conception and a healthy pregnancy and delivery. Stomach Time (7:00-9:00 am) is the time for Cobalamin Tonic, what Swami Nitty-Gritty (Adano Ley) called a “hormone booster rocket.” It’s coffee, cocoa powder, and 100% pure maple syrup – best enjoyed immediately after breakfast (break the fast). Cocoa powder is an end product of cocoa solids, the low-fat component of chocolate. Small Intestine Time (1:00-3:00 pm) is the time for tomato juice and molasses. Both the Stomach and Small Intestine acupuncture meridians are “shunts” for the Circulation-Sex Meridian. “Carob, tamarind, and maple syrup is a hormone balancer.” Tomato juice and raisins can be substituted for tomato juice and molasses. (This combo was more practical for me back in the days when I regularly and frequently rode the “Big Grey Dog” – Greyhound bus – coast to coast.) Circulation-Sex Time (7:00-9:00 pm) is the time for the Southern sweet potato or the Northern sweet potato. Clarified butter helps precipitate the fat-soluble vitamins from a sweet potato for improved hormone balancing. The Northern sweet potato is marketed in the U.S. as a “sweet potato,” and the Southern sweet potato is marketed as a “yam.” True yams sometimes weigh more than 100 pounds. Swami Nitty-Gritty said, “Yam or sweet potato build bone marrow. The kidneys control marrow.” Triple-Heater Time (9:00-11:00 pm) is the time for the “Tequila Sunset” – 100% agave tequila, aloe vera, and pineapple juice. The Tequila Sunset is therapy “for mucus in the sex organs,” according to Swami Nitty-Gritty. He explained, “A bromeliad is allocated to night. A pineapple looks like a testicle and pubic hair. It is therapy for the genital and rectal organs. Hemorrhoidal correction is not found in the nose.” A bromeliad is a tropical or subtropical plant, including agave, aloe vera, pineapple, and many others. A bromeliad uses CAM (crassulacean acid metabolism) photosynthesis, making its Growth Height only partly relevant to the 3 Solar Nutrition Growth Zones. PURPLE is a color for CONSERVING sex energy. Purple is associated with the kidneys and genitals, according to both Swami Nitty-Gritty and Colonel Dinshah P. Ghadiali’s principles of color therapy. It’s a venous stimulant and renal and adrenal depressant that acts as an ANAPHRODISIAC – something that suppresses sexual energy. Purple has analgesic, narcotic, and hypnotic qualities, and it’s used to counteract fever and sexual overstimulation – the latter making it useful to those practicing either … (1) solo Sedular Absorption Microcosmic Orbit Energy Techniques or (2) duo sexual Karezza-Union Magnetation. A virgin experiencing a nonpainful ovulation “thinks of purple,” Swami Nitty-Gritty told us. SCARLET is a color for EXPRESSING sex energy. Scarlet – like purple – is associated with the kidneys and genitals. It’s a vasoconstrictor that stimulates the genitals, kidneys, adrenal glands, and arteries. Scarlet is a “sex builder” in cases of impotence and frigidity, and color therapy’s answer to Viagra or maca supplementation. Scarlet is an APHRODISIAC – something that stimulates sexual energy. The butterfly is one of the select few insects able to perceive scarlet. Like the hummingbird, the butterfly is attracted to scarlet-colored tropical flowers. Bees don’t perceive scarlet but are compensated by their ability to perceive ultraviolet radiation for 400-300 millimicrons as a color tone. The scarlet-colored poppy, unlike many tropical flowers, reflects UV rays as well as scarlet rays, thus attracting bees. Swami Nitty-Gritty advised, “Sleep with your head on a green pillowcase and use a magenta sheet.” The green pillowcase balances the Brain-Governor Meridian (ovum and skull) and the magenta sheet balances the Conception Meridian (sperm and spine). Leopold Hartley Grindon (1818-1904) observed … “Nature is a system of nuptials. Everything in creation partakes either of masculine or feminine qualities [...] – all exist as the offspring or products of a kind of marriage.” sourcenondisclosed_email@example.com (TheLivingShadow)Mon, 18 Jul 2011 07:56:13 +0000
