TEOMCROTE = TEOTWAWKI on steroids! The End Of Mankind's Current Reign Over The Earth takes into account that our ancestors were neither suicidal, stupid, nor our genetic inferiors but still wound up getting wiped off the Earth. Whereas CSER [cser.org: Centre for Study of Existential Risk] tries to PREVENT this dispensation from coming to an end, TEOMCROTE works from the eventuality/possibility/probability that the end our age takes place and what to do then

basic rules

1: you're not hungry, you're thirsty
2: you're not thirsty, you're starving for minerals...

The shocking truth about your health: Lissa Rankin at TEDxFiDiWomen
The research shows that health is much more than about body, but also [even primarily] about:
- healthy relationships
- a healthy professional life
- creative expression
- spiritual connection
- healthy sexlife
- being healthy financially
- living in a healthy environment
- being mentally healthy

good gut bacteria

They Outnumber Your Cells Ten to One and Are the Core of Your Health
The first interview above features Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, a Russian-trained neurologist with a full-time medical practice in the UK. She treats children and adults with autism, learning disabilities, neurological disorders, psychiatric disorders, immune disorders, and digestive problems, using her Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) Nutritional Program.
In the second video, I interview Caroline Barringer, a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP), who is an expert in the preparation of the foods prescribed in Dr. McBride's GAPS program.
We first met at the November 2011 Weston Price Wise Traditions event, where we had the opportunity to enjoy some amazing fermented vegetables that her company prepared for our dinner.

flossing; the most important thing you could do?

David Wolfe interview on flossing.

Only about 18% of Americans floss but it's considered by some to be one of the best things you can do for your health. It's also more important than brushing your teeth.

So does flossing belong in DENTAL or GENERAL health?
It's all about hygience and buildup of bad bacteria in the body, as well as the teeth being connected to the brain, each one to a specific aspect.
Perhaps worth the 2 minutes a day it takes to do...

Omega 3 to 6 ratio

In this podcast with Ted Slanker he says that the ratio of omega 3's and 6's should be 1:1.
He says it's very important to stay near this ratio and that it's been proved scientifically [i.e. research, not consensus] that a ratio of over 1:4 (of omega 3's to 6's) causes big problems.
For this reason he especially suggests great caution in eating nuts, particularly walnuts (which already contain 4:1 6's over 3's).
He says he himself takes flaxseed oil daily because of it's high amounts of omega 3's. Here's a list of foods high in omega 3's.

In this podcast with Brian Peskin the professor makes clear that it's important to get PARENT Omega 3's and 6's [i.e. both]. That means that the BAD Omega 6's that are everywhere will not help you. The higher the percentage of good [i.e. parent] Omega fats [3 & 6], the better. That means that eating nuts (in the morning) is a good habit...
The parent Omega 3's and 6's sustain the body, while adulterated fats [most things from a factory] are combined molecular strings of fat that cause problems.

I tried eating less nuts in the morning but i get extremely dry skin and dandruff. The day i started eating nuts again that went away. I'm tending to appreciate professor Peskin's approach to the Omega fat issue, therefore.

A caveat i'd like to place with his remarks in this podcast on not being able to find many fruits or nuts in nature, an argument also presented by paleo diet man Aajonus Vonderplanitz: mankind is a very strange large mammal:
- our eyes can't bear the Sun
- we're blind at night
- we're weak and slow compared to all other large mammal (including apes)
- our skin can't take the Sun
We just don't seem to belong on this planet! As one might find argued in Matthew and Kevin Taylor's book Land of No Horizon, mankind originated in Hollow Earth. At least we're a hybrid between surface-dwelling apes and Hollow Earth sentient species.
In Hollow Earth there's abundant fruit and year-round.
Whether one accepts the facts, logic, and sense concerning this matter is a key point in one's approach to diet. If there is no Hollow Earth, people like Ted Slanker are 100% correct.

bowel movements

Bowel movement, or BM, is a big issue for a lot of people. BM is important, not just because it's uncomfortable to have improper digestion; your body needs to get the bad stuff OUT. Otherwise it stays in the environment which is supposed to support the good bacteria in breaking down your food so it can be absorbed through the intestinal wall. Detox starts at simple proper BM.

There are a few rules to keep in mind when it comes to BM:
- Chronobiotics explains that your body holds on to food until the proper time of day comes to utilize it. Eat according to the clock [i.e. this principle] and you'll have regular BM.
- basic Macrobiotic principle would have one eating the most Yin foods earlier in the day, while the more Yang foods should be consumed later in the day: fruit in the morning and meat at night.
- don't drink water or citrus with any meal. The water dilutes the stomach juices and citric acid turns alkaline in the stomach [i.e. immediately].

Certain foods can just never be combined with others or are difficult to combine at best. Melons and lemons should be eaten alone. Don't be combining legumes with other than vegetables, preferably; be careful whatever choice you make.

There are simply chemical and other processes to consider. Your body isn't built to just deal with ANYTHING no matter what. People used to have traditions and millennia-old cultures to fall back on to know what did or did not work; now we have to go by our own proper research [i.e. not the bs so-called authorities put out; they're pawns of forces that don't care about your success].

Chronobiotics works. If nothing else, give that a try. Other things like what you eat, or WITH what, will often become moot if WHEN (you eat what) is taken into consideration.

psychology and social constraints

I had an epiphany this morning when i woke up. After 30+ years of researching nutrition and testing what works according to my own experience, i had to admit that i was not TRUSTING food to actually help me.

Western culture has a jaded/blasé attitude towards food. Whenever i spoke about my findings about nutrition to friends or family, they told me to relax. I think that in the end society's attitude effected me, as well, since i subconsciously set out to PROVE that i wasn't obsessed about food; which is true. I was just researching food AT ALL (something that is only turning out to be more and more appropriate).
So in the end i became subconsciously determined NOT to take nutrition seriously despite all that i was learning through my research. It is typical of society's schizofrenic attitude towards science: while worshipping (scientific) authorities, society simultaneously accepts that they achieve next to no results.

It may be different for people who still are confused about nutrition, but this is not the case for myself at all. It's very clear to me what's important and that's not a matter of me kidding myself. The truth about nutrition is evident from the research and it's really not a matter of debate. I know what to do and what it can mean. What i have lacked is ACCEPTING and TRUSTING all i've discovered to actually help me to the extent that it deserves an emotional investment on my part.

What you eat is IMPORTANT.
WHEN you eat is important.
What you DON'T eat is IMPORTANT.
Etc.
It matters. It's worth REALLY getting into.

As a teenager i remember being utterly frustrated that i had to research how to eat. "Why the hell couldn't i just eat and get on with my life?!", or something like that; that's how it felt. I became a self-taught dietician because i had no choice.
Though i made great progress, i noticed and accepted that there were still things i couldn't explain or solve. For this reason i never got around to advertising myself as dietician [that would've been as "uncredentialed dietician", but i considered that a badge of honor]. Things have changed by now, decades later. There's basically nothing i can think of that one shouldn't be able to remedy through the proper dietary changes (that i know about).

Our culture trusts in drugs. Foods are just filling. Though (just about) every doctor says the Hippocratic OATH and Hippocrates said:
"Let your foods be your medicine and let your medicines be your food",
we treat nutrition with disdain. Including myself...

Until this day, that is. It's crazy. I myself have experienced how my emotional and physical state can DRASTICALLY improve overnight by a proper gallbladder flush, just to give an example. I KNOW IT, from my own experience. The subconscious, however, does not have it's own intelligence and carries on in spite of experience. That is, until the experience is considered to the extent that it's brought up into conscious considerations that can be assimilated. Then the subconscious influences can be countered in the future by conscious understanding.

It's something for everyone in Western culture to be aware of: we distrust what we imbibe. We imagine all kinds of effects that counter or supercede it. Our culture treats the whole process of eating as if everything'll be fine once whatever we ate is down our throat.
Out of sight, out of mind!
However, no amount of 'positive thinking', drugs, or fresh vegetables will counter the negative effects of eating white flour, sugar, or other empty foods. Just so, no amount of 'positive thinking' is as powerful as what can be achieved through health choices that fundamentally support physical health, such as detox, mineralization, hydration, and probiotic-rich [fermented] foods.

It's worth being excited about.

hormone-pollution-iodine connection

In Jorge Flechas' presentation on iodine he remarks on an iodine - estrogen connection: estrogen interferes with the absorption of iodine. He also mentions that a disfunctional sodium-iodine pump can be cured with megadosing Vit. C and niacin [Vit. B3].
Now i recently saw David Wolfe's bit on hormones and it just all seems to connect.
Since 1900 when about 3% of the population suffered from heart disease or cancer (i.e. total was 3%), about 77,000 chemicals have been introduced into the environment. Most of these fall under the 4 P's: pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, pesticides, and plastics. I gather from David Wolfe's presentation that these supply the mass amounts of xeno-estrogens causing just about every problem in the book.

Now all of this taken together seems to point to estrogen/hormone imbalance being just about the main cause of EVERYTHING. Hell, even Robert von Sarbacher's MBP cleanses the liver, which according to Wolfe is the repository of estrogen and beets being a major source of methyl-doners that clean estrogen up.

Now we've all heard about megadosing Vit. C and niacin, Vit. B3 also being a major methyl-donor. Flechas' presentation might suggest that what the niacin/Vit. C is actually achieving is cleaning up all the estrogen, allowing iodine to be utilized. So then estrogen is causing all kinds of grief but maybe the main grief is that the body can't get the iodine it needs.

Could this be why the MBP is so powerful? David Wolfe suggests a 5-tiered approach to dealing with estrogen imbalance and beets are at the forefront of that approach. If beets defeat the estrogen, which in turn allows for the body to access iodine, it's bascially doing the same as megadosing niacin (the MBP adding the advantage of zinc and such).

DNA /RNA

Micro-RNA Molecules from Your Food May Control Up to 30 Percent of Your Genes
Chances are you've never heard of micro RNA (miRNA) … but that doesn't mean it hasn't already been impacting your health … RNA is one of three major macromolecules, like DNA. Micro RNA are basically small pieces of RNA that interact with your genes, essentially stopping certain genes from being expressed.
MiRNA exists in human body fluid naturally; for instance, researchers have detected high expression levels of immune-related miRNAs in breast milk, particularly during the first 6 months of lactation. It's thought that this genetic material is transferred from mother to baby to help modulate the development of the infant's immune system. Cow's milk also contains miRNA, which is currently being explored as a possible new standard for the quality control of raw milk.
However, micro RNA also exists in plants, and for the first time research has shown that eating the wrong plants may transfer this plant miRNA to humans -- with potentially devastating implications.
The study, published in the September 2011 edition of the journal Cell Research, determined that microRNA from cooked plant foods like rice, wheat and potatoes can in fact collect in your blood and tissue, leading to a number of potential health problems.
The study further revealed that microRNA remains completely stable after not only cooking, but through the digestion process as well. Most importantly, the researchers found a significant quantity of microRNA in the human body, concluding that:
" … plant miRNAs are primarily acquired orally, through food intake."

So whenever you eat rice and certain other plant foods, including potatoes and wheat, you are ingesting genetic material that may turn certain genes "off." To date, microRNA has been implicated in a number of diseases ranging from cancer and diabetes to Alzheimer's disease.
