TEOMCROTE = TEOTWAWKI on steroids! The End Of Mankind's Current Reign Over The Earth takes into account that our ancestors were neither suicidal, stupid, nor our genetic inferiors but still wound up getting wiped off the Earth. Whereas CSER [cser.org: Centre for Study of Existential Risk] tries to PREVENT this dispensation from coming to an end, TEOMCROTE works from the eventuality/possibility/probability that the end our age takes place and what to do then

adrenal fatigue

On page 8 and 9 of James Wilson's book Adrenal Fatigue he writes:
The adrenals have an effect on mental states. As a result, people with adrenal fatigue show a tendency towards increased fears, anxiety and depression, have intervals of confusion, increased difficulties in concentrating, and less acute memory recall. They also have less tolerance than they otherwise would and are more easily frustrated.

As their condition worsens, it lays the foundation for other seemingly unrelated conditions such as frequent respiratory infections, allergies, rhinitis, asthma, frequent colds, and a number of other health problems like fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, hypoglycemia, diabetes, auto-immune disorders, and alcoholism.
These people may appear to friends and family to be lazy and unmotivated, or to have lost their ambition, when in reality quite the opposite is true; they are forced to drive themselves much harder than people with healthy adrenal function merely to accomplish everyday tasks.

depression and suicide

More Than 90 Percent of People Who Commit Suicide Suffer From This…
Studies continue to show antidepressant drugs are no more effective than a placebo, and in some case less effective. A study published in the January 2010 issue of JAMA concluded there is little evidence that SSRIs (a popular group of antidepressants that includes Prozac, Paxil, and Zoloft) have any benefit to people with mild to moderate depression.5 Researchers stated:
"The magnitude of benefit of antidepressant medication compared with placebo... may be minimal or nonexistent, on average, in patients with mild or moderate symptoms."
SSRIs were found to be 33 percent effective, just like a sugar pill—but with far more adverse effects, including violence and suicidal thoughts and actions. There is much evidence that antidepressants intensify violent thoughts and behaviors, both suicidal and homicidal, especially among children. And, since the late 1980s, there have been frequent reports of increased violent behavior, including homicides and suicides, among individuals taking antidepressant drugs.

Magnetic therapy could mean the end of dangerous antidepressants
NeuroStar TMS Therapy, uses magnetic pulses beamed through the skull. The pulses trigger small electrical charges that cause activity in the brain. The tests, conducted by the a team at the University of California, found that 58 percent achieved a positive response while 37 percent went into remission.

exercise

Jogging in a forest twice as good for you as jogging in a gym
Researchers at Glasgow University, who looked at natural and non-natural environments for physical activity and examined walking, running and cycling found that working out with nature - a stroll in a park or a jog through a forest - lowered stress and improved a person's mental health by as much as 50 percent. People suffering from depression and anxiety would get a net positive effect from exercising in or near woodlands. Only activities which were done outside, in a natural environment, were associated with improved mental health.

According to blood type theory, each blood type has an associated personality type and that corresponds with different approaches to dealing with stress:
- people with blood type 0 destress by intensive exercise
- blood type A's and AB's destress through meditation
- B's destress through creative activities, as well as things like T'ai Chi or Qigong
So running like crazy might be exactly what the blood type 0 person needs to relax, whereas it might agravate a blood type A's mental state. Similarly, if a stressed-out person with blood type 0 sits on a mat to meditate, it might actually only serve to frustrate and increase stress, though meditation is exactly what someone with blood type A or AB can use to calm their mind down.

supplements & herbs

BIOAGE testimonial
" My wonderful girlfriend suffers(ed) from terrible anxiety attacks following a life long history of emotional abuse by her father. She would become enraged and hostile over the smallest of things. This product is amazing! We began taking your F3 formula and within 8 hours of the first capsule her emotional state began to stabilize. Over the next week we had not one argument! Her emotional state has become warm and cuddly. She even said "I don't know what has come over me. This is not like me to want so much affection." She is self-limiting her alcohol intake and cutting down from chain smoking. This is a miracle food! Thank you so much for doing what love, therapy, and emotional support could not do for this fine woman and for our relationship. p.s. The animals love it too. "

Niacin / vit. B3
Mega dosing niacin has been an extremely powerful tool in combatting mental conditions. From David Wolfe's work on hormones we now know why: the B vitamins supply the body with the methyl groups that combat hormone imbalance.
Mega dosing with niacin has been known to turn around the most extreme depression immediately. It's also known to be the most effective instrument against alcoholism.
There are very few supplements in the world as interesting as niacin. It can be hard to take because of the flushing effect it gives. Therefore dosages must be built up over time (and the non-flushing variaties don't appear to work as well or at all).

Five great herbs for fighting depression naturally
- Rhodiola rosea (Crassulaceae)
- St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum)
- Camu Camu (Myrciaria dubia)
- Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera)
- Maca (Lepidium meyenii)

Also see posts related to Vit. B12.

Two all natural supplements for depression
- SAMe or S-Adenosyl methionine, is a combination of ATP and the essential amino acid methionine. Believe it or not, this all-natural depression treatment outsells Prozac in Italy.
- St. John's Wort, from the Hypercium perforatum plant, has been used for centuries to treat depression as well as other health conditions. Although the way this herb interacts with the body is not fully understood, it has shown to be safe and effective for treating mild depression. It is thought to work by stopping serotonin from being reabsorbed by brain cells. In several studies St. John's Wort has been proven more effective when compared to prescription anti-depressants.

anxiety / panic attacks

A more common problem occurs in those with panic attacks. Panic attacks often have triggers, and these triggers are almost entirely physical. Panic attacks occur when your body starts to translate physical experiences into something much worse, telling your brain and your body that something is horribly wrong.
For example, some people get panic attacks when their heartbeat increases for no apparent reason. Heartbeats change all the time depending on exertion, foods, etc., and yet in those with panic attacks, the mind and body start to interpret this heartbeat increase as something very serious – like a heart attack.
When you're dehydrated, you are far more likely to experience many of the symptoms that trigger panic episodes. Some examples include:
Lightheadedness
Muscle fatigue and weakness
Headaches
Feeling faint
Increased heart rate
All of these are panic attack triggers. Many of them are due to a loss of blood pressure as well. When your body is dehydrated, your blood pressure goes down. It causes your heartbeat to increase to improve blood pressure, lightheadedness, and so on.
That's why those with panic attacks absolutely must stay hydrated as best they can. While hydrating will not stop the panic attacks, they can make them less frequent, or at least reduce some of the triggers that make them worse.

ADHD

Common pesticides double children's risk of ADHD
Appearing in the journal Pediatrics in 2010 (published online on May 17, 2010), a study conducted by Harvard researchers found that relatively low-level exposure to common pesticides doubles kids' risk of ADHD. The researchers took urine samples of 1,139 children, aged 8 to 15 from across the United States. They tested for signs of exposure to various organophosphate pesticides used on commercially grown fruit and vegetables. Ninety four percent of the children showed evidence of the compounds. At the same time, interviews with the children's mothers, or another caretaker, revealed that about one child in 10 met the criteria for ADHD, the approximate estimate for the general population. "That's a very strong association that, if true, is of very serious concern," said researcher Marc Weisskopf of the Harvard School of Public Health, who worked on the study. "These are widely used pesticides."

Millions of young, simply immature children being misdiagnosed with ADHD
The criteria for diagnosing attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) has become so broad and all-inclusive that millions of young children around the world who are simply just immature -- they are kids, after all -- are being branded as ill and in need of psychotropic medications. These are the conclusions that have been made in an 11-year study out of Canada that revealed a much higher rate of ADHD diagnoses among younger children compared to older children, which indicates a rampant epidemic of misdiagnoses.

INVENTOR OF ADHD'S DEATHBED CONFESSION: "ADHD IS A FICTITIOUS DISEASE"

In response to Atom Bergstrom's article on his blog ADHD & the Military-Industrial-Educational Complex, i inquired:
"I respect that CHILDREN that supposedly have ADHD are likely starving to be allowed to be children.. but i’ve met grownups diagnosed with ADHD and they appear to have serious problems: they can’t stay focused and their energy appears scattered.
Granted, that’s a problem most people suffer from but in the 2 cases i’m thinking of, i’m talking about very intelligent people one would normally expect to be capable of more. One of them says ADHD is a gift and denies it’s a disease but all i see is how limited her mental capacities appear to me. You can be creative without being all over the place…
Adults with ‘ADHD’, not a disease either?"
To which Atom replied:
Yes, No, Maybe.
YES … if ADHD is a disease, then more play, not anti-play medicine is a higher choice.
NO … ADHD is a straitjacketing wastebasket term for a multitude of individual traumas.
It’s WHO is the matter with a person, not WHAT.
WHEN is the bridge between WHO and WHAT.
MAYBE … when we say a person “would normally be capable of more,” we’re evaluating a condition by societal values.

I wouldn’t be able to write my blog without all the geeks in the Silicon World “suffering” from Asperger’s syndrome.
And maybe it’s a blessing to cattle that medical science wasn’t able to “cure” Professor Temple Grandin’s full-blown autism.
And what if Steven Hawking’s amyotrophic lateral sclerosis was the price he paid for his cosmic insights? (as Swami Nitty-Gritty said it was)
If a “sick” person “wastes his time” and sits and stares at a wall all day, he ends up at the funny farm.
If a Buddha does the same thing, he starts a worldwide religion.
