A LOT of people actually wish to GAIN weight. Here's a post by Atom Bergstrom on this:
It’s possible to gain weight by un-yawning as well as lose weight by yawning.
A single fat cell can expand up to 1,000 times.
If that’s too much of a conceptual leap, here are some other ways to gain weight …
Eat well-cooked (even over-cooked) food.
Mash, blend, grind, tenderize, and/or dextrinize your food as much as possible.
Do NOT juice it unless you can do it without adding additional water.
All of the above goes for eggs and meat too.
Cooked eggs are easily digested (compared to raw eggs), and cooking meat jellifies collagen.
(Unlike vegetables, don’t over-cook meat. Cooking denatures collagen but it toughens muscle fibers.)
Don’t eat STALE cooked starchy food. Starch can actually “un-cook” itself.
If you choose a healthy brain, eat cooked food.
If you choose a healthy heart, eat raw food.
If you “walk the razor’s edge,” eat 80% raw and 20% cooked, and eat your food ON TIME and IN TIME.
Black tea at midday will help you gain weight as long as you drink it an hour or two after eating solid food.
Well-cooked soups are not off limit. Despite the extra liquid, dextrinized soups will still promote weight gain.
A stew containing less liquid is a higher choice than soup.
