ice age
Robert Felix has explained in his book Not By Fire But By Ice that ice ages occur very predictably every 360, 13000, and 105000 years,, according to various cycles.
The 13.000 year cycle is especially interesting because it coincides with many other sources that suggest cataclysmic events taking place every 13,000 years, i.e. not just ice ages.
All 3 cycles happen to be due at the same time: NOW.
The main attribute of an ice age is MORE PRECIPITATION. Though this goes against the grain of most folks' idea about it, it makes sense:
- warmer waters cause more clouds and hence more precipitation
- though winters will therefore typically be less cold, they will be wetter and last longer, i.e. spring comes later and winter comes earlier
- the latter process will ultimately also mean that areas where snow stays for many months will become larger over time [centuries?]
- extensive regions of constant snow, as well as more cloud cover, will cause air temperatures [as opposed to water temperatures] to drop and seriously effect certain regions of the world.
This concept of ice age has a number of serious consequences, like:
- in the tropics little to nothing will change [they always had loads of precipitation and no snow]
- though precipitation patterns may change and cause drought where things used to be moderate, many previously arid places in the world will be getting more precipitation and become more habitable
(It should also be noted, though, that permaculture constantly points out that desertification and poor agricultural tactics are NOT resolved by adding (even) more irrigation/water/precipitation. Indeed, as proven by Geoff Lawton's Greening The Desert in Jordan even the least amount of precipitation is enough if you know what you're doing and if you don't know what you're doing, you can even make deserts around the equator, like what's been accomplished in the past 50 years on Borneo.)

global warming
Shock study shows Himalayas and nearby peaks have lost no ice over the last decade
Man-made climate change theory proponents frequently cite claims that ice caps and glaciers all around the world are melting at an alarming rate because of excess carbon dioxide (CO2). But new research published in the journal Nature reveals that, contrary to popular belief, ice caps in the Himalayan mountains and many nearby peaks have not actually melted at all in the past ten years.
The reason why many scientists still believe that ice caps and glaciers in these higher elevations are melting has to do with the way data on melting has been collected up until this point. Rather than come from satellite imagery and gravitational analysis, most of the research is based on data gathered on the ground from just a few glaciers, which fails to take into account the 200,000-or-so glaciers in existence across the globe.
At the same time, the researchers claim that lower-level ice melting is still occurring, and that the new findings do not negate existing theories on global warming. This declaration, however, appears to be more of a politically-charged opinion rather than a hypothesis based on the facts, as there simply is no concrete evidence that ice caps as a whole are melting any faster than usual, or that man is responsible for causing this if they are.

The above has been known to readers of Robert Felix' work for years. Media and politicians (like Inconvenient Truth maker Al Gore) have been pointing the finger to ice that's MELTING while other ice is GROWING (without wasting any time on what the total is).
Robert Felix explains, for example, that while Antartic ice that floats on the oceans exibited dramatic melting that caught a lot of media attention, the ice on the Antartic continent had kept on growing.
He says that the explanation for this lies in underwater volcanic activity that's heating up the OCEANS but creating GLOBAL conditions that cause glacial growth.
He also says that sea levels are DROPPING. If i find an article that the scientific community finally confirms this, i'll add it too. Just like the above, it won't come as a surprise to the people who just stick to the scientific research...

North Atlantic Current
Life on this Earth Just Changed …The North Atlantic Current is Gone…
The latest satellite data establishes that the North Atlantic Current (also called the North Atlantic Drift) no longer exists.
The thermohaline circulation is sometimes called the ocean conveyor belt, the great ocean conveyor, or the global conveyor belt.
The entire ‘river of warm water’ that flows from the Caribbean to the edges of Western Europe is dying due to the Corexit that the Obama Administration allowed BP to use to hide the scale of the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Disaster. The approximately two million gallons of Corexit, plus several million gallons of other dispersants, have caused the over two hundred million gallons of crude oil, that has gushed for months from the BP wellhead and nearby sites, to mostly sink to the bottom of the ocean. This has helped to effectively hide much of the oil, with the hopes that BP can seriously reduce the mandated federal fines from the oil disaster. However, there is no current way to effectively ‘clean up’ the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico, which is about half covered in crude oil. Additionally, the oil has flowed up the East Coast of America and into the North Atlantic Ocean, and there is no way to effectively clean up this ‘sea bottom oil’. It is likely, based on numerous reports, that the oil is still flowing in massive amounts from multiple places on the seabed floor. This effectively means, that even if we had the technology in place to somehow clean up the free flowing thick crude oil deep in the ocean, it would likely not be enough to reverse the damage to the Thermohaline Circulation System in the Atlantic Ocean.
The massive amount of crude oil, ever expanding in volume and covering such an enormous area, has seriously affected the entire thermoregulation system of the planet, by breaking up the boundary layers of the warm water flow. The Loop Current in the Gulf of Mexico ceased to exist a month ago, the latest satellite data clearly shows that the North Atlantic Current is now GONE and the Gulf Stream begins to break apart approximately 250 miles from the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The Thermohaline Circulatory System, where the warm water current flows through a much cooler, much larger, ocean, effects the upper atmosphere above the current as much as seven miles high. The lack of this normal effect in the eastern North Atlantic has disrupted the normal flow of the atmospheric Jet Stream this summer, causing unheard of high temperatures in Moscow (104F) and drought, and flooding in Central Europe, with high temperatures in much of Asia and massive flooding in China, Pakistan, and elsewhere in Asia.
The most current data continues to show a dying of the entire Thermohaline Circulation System in the Atlantic Ocean. This is indicative of the fact that the dispersants have caused the oil to remain in place below the surface, and according to most reports remain in almost full amounts (up to 80%) long after the BP Oil Disaster began. Since there is no current way to remove this massive amount of free flowing oil below the sea at depths up to one mile deep, it is apt to continue to effect any natural recovery of the Thermohaline Circulation System.

documentaries, articles, etc.
Causes of the Ice Ages.
Applies to magnetic reversals and can perhaps even be connected to Brian Austin Lambert33's (YouTube) work.
German scientist predicts new Ice Age now approaching
A growing number of scientists have checked their data, the solar cycles, the climate cycles and the Arctic ice core samples. What they see is approaching disaster: a new Ice Age that could displace whole nations, destroy the word's fragile economy and bring freezing death to as much as one-fifth of the world's population.
According to some, a new mini-Ice Age could occur in as little as five to ten years.
And those are the optimists.
The pessimists believe the Earth is spinning towards a full-fledged Ice Age—the kind that lasts thousands of years. The kind that changed the shape of continents and carved out gigantic fresh water lakes like the Great Lakes in the northern Midwest of the United States. The kind of planetary climate disaster that almost wiped out the entire human race some 12,000 years ago.

Oceans are warmer
Mainstream research proves that the oceans are warming up.
This source doesn't understand what Robert Felix explained years ago: warmer oceans mean more precipitation = ice age!
An ice age doesn't mean snow in the tropics but MORE snow in the regions closer to the poles means shorter summers and longer winters and growing glaciers.
Warmer oceans also means less SEA ICE, but counter-intuitively and simultaneously MORE land ice due to increased precipitation (of snow).
We are clearly in an ice age right now once you understand that an ice age is basically more precipitation. The ice will perhaps slowly creep up on the world but there's nothing subtle about the kind of rain and snow fall certain areas have been getting these last few years, with record precipitation year after year. Did you ever think what will happen if that DOESN'T let up...?! Exactly: ice ice and more ice. Add that up for a few decades and at some point the Earth even starts cooling down as all that white starts reflecting heat FROM THE ATMOSPHERE. In other words, the WATER will be warmer but billions will freeze their collective butts off and die of starvation.
Antarctic sea ice hit 35-year record high Saturday
This article is especially relevant because it mentions that the scientific community now accepts and states that sea temperatures are higher.
