Vitamin D prevents stress fractures in preteen and teenage girls
While it has long been known that severe Vitamin D deficiency results in rickets, a serious disease which prevents mineralization of the bones and results in skeletal deformities, it is now being discovered that less severe deficiencies can result in weaker bones that are more prone to stress and injury.
The RDA or as it's now known as, the reference dietary intake, for vitamin D was set at 600 IU for individuals between 1 and 70 years of age in November 2010. However, many medical professionals believe that these levels are too low.

premature menarche
Puberty Before Age 10: A New ‘Normal’?
Precocious puberty, which is the appearance of secondary sex characteristics like pubic hair or breast growth before age 8, or the onset of menarche before age 9, impacts at least 1 in 5,000 U.S. children, and the rate is on the rise. Even in the last three decades, children (particularly girls) are maturing at younger and younger ages.In the 19th century the onset of menstruation occurred around the age of 15. Now the average age of the first period, or menarche, is around 12. These signs are now becoming unsettlingly common among 7-, 8- and 9-year-old girls, to the extent that many health care providers, rather than labeling these children with a diagnosis that something is wrong, have simply changed the definition of what's normal.

Interestingly, The China Study showed rural Chinese woman average menarche around age 18. The authors of the study [the largest health study ever conducted] attributed this to the fact that these women grew up as vegetarians in rural areas.
This would be in line with sources suggesting that 77,000 chemicals have been introduced into the environment these last decades; any area where pollution is at still more natural levels, might certainly offer drastically different (and more healthy) conditions that especially effect hormonal balance.
The youngest mother on record was a Peruvian girl of 5. (This also means that she was 4 or just 5 when impregnated...)
It's been a fairly commonly well-known problem in South America that people eat a lot of chickens that are shot full of hormones to stimulate growth. Many girls in that region have been reaching menarche around the age of 9 for decades.

What Parents Can Do to Make their Child Have 20-30 Points Higher than Their IQ
43 minute video presentation and article:
- Iodine is used by your thyroid gland to help regulate metabolism and development of both skeleton and brain, among other things. Lack of iodine may severely affect your child’s brain function and IQ
- Iodine deficiency can also cause hypothyroidism, goiter, mental retardation, cretinism, and certain forms of cancer
- While US RDA for iodine may be insufficient for optimal health and brain function, recent research also casts doubt on high-dose iodine supplementation, as researchers found a dose-dependent relationship between daily intake of 800 mcg of total iodine and higher, with onset of subclinical hypothyroidism
- Three additional factors that play an important role in the development of proper brain function and high IQ in children are: the animal-based omega-3 fat DHA, vitamin D, avoiding fluoride, and optimizing gut flora
